Excellent to see - have followed the thread on SELOC (well, the several threads after the predictable Honda sh*tfest)
Certainly something I have more interest in than just writing a cheque for ten grand.
BTW, there's a thread on posting pics here
http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/vie ... f=9&t=1350 Which will let you show those pictures properly, without the scroll bars. The upload option is only really for small files, not pictures...

Glad you made it on SE Alan!
Go on, show us the 'spangle'.
Can't wait to see it finished and on the road.
Alan is in my office! (currently same dept). At last count there was 5 owners (although a black S2 Elise was also spotted in the car park yesterday). I think there are another couple that aren't used for commuting...defo one VX.
Some sunny day we'll need to do a lineup/photoshoot. Lunchtime SE run.

That's the sort of post us Honda owners like to see on here Alan. We do not have a Stark conversion yet, but they have an excellent reputation.
Any help or problems you may have could probably be answered by Craig Wallace who lives close by to me, as he did his own S/C conversion from scratch, made or had made most of the components himself, and bought driveshafts/CV joints from the best source at the time. Not much that he does not know about the whole process.
I see from Ali's post that you live in Aberdeen and you work in the same office, so even better. What are your plans for usage once you have finished?
Keep the posts and picture coming in.

ps I have two S1's with Honda conversions but done by BLiNK, one N/A and one that I S/C.

is that a inhouse work joke for Lagos?
Alan
I used to have a Honda in my 340r, I am not sure your 4-1 exhaust is the best option if your no fitting a s/c, lots of torque to be had with a proper 4-2-1.
Will be interesting all the same.

Think he's had chapter and verse on SELOC but there are reasons...

yes or as good as. Jim did tell me what is best, I think the second part (2) should be 50% (or close too) what the first part (4) are. 4 -2 - 1 = 30cm – 15cm – whatever?

Hi All,
I am very happy with The Stark Kit and they are very easy to deal with.
You are right Scotty, Your better with a 421 for NA but Stark Use the 4-1 Manifold for all installs to prevent you drive train from cooking and there shafts are not at a funny angle. I looked at a few installs and they were all very close to Intermidiate shaft C.V Joints made me a bit nervous.
Ive seen the results and you lose some Mid Range Torque but gain Top End BHP. We Will see
The car will be used on the road and Track Days (Many!)
Alister - I held the Silver Sparkle pictures back ! We should get some photos at vetco, although need to be 2020 the way im going.
Cheers
Alan

Hi Alan

I've got a Pheonix N/A Honda and a DIY Honda S/C link up similarly, engineered by our own Craig Wallace 'r10crw' which I'm in the process of rebuilding

I changed from a 4-1 to a 4-2-1 over the top manifold (340r has no boot anyway) made a big difference, but then you only noticed on track.
Good on you for having a go.

I have not been on Starks site for a while, but they have a lot of new material on it, so well worth a look
http://www.stark-automotive.co.uk. Good detailed account of their first developement Elise, and then the Exige.
They are now not only doing a complete Honda conversion kit, but it can be split down into blocks and bought separately. Just had a long conversation with James, and he was very helpful with some questions of my own.
