Cracked Tyre

Well I can't say I've seen this before and with the state of the photo I doubt you'll see it either

but ...... whilst I had the wheel off for doing the filler surround I noticed a crack in the tyre that ran all the way around. It's on the inside edge of the blocks on the outside of the tyre.
OK to run ? or (and I'm dreading this) need replaced ?
again sorry the picture is so bad !
In fact now I've posted it it's so bad it's giving me a sore head ....... I'll try and get a better one.

If your asking you know the answer...
Jut had to change a pair on th eporker, 8mm of tread but cracked (Worse than that though)

Ok knicked a shot of the wifes Nikon .... tech helping the useless !
as mentioned above it's on the inside of the blocks on the righthand side of the tyres.
I sense new tyres needing bought

Are you sure its not a molding mark. I cannot see a crack either .

Edited the photo with a handy little arrow

this runs most of the way around the tyre :/

My fronts were cracked in the groves and passed the MOT not even an advisory, I changed them anyway.
Take from that what you will

My Polo tyre had those and it went to the wear markers fine, caused by stress in the tyre. If the crack does not go down to the canvass of the tyre would think it would be ok . Chunks coming off or the carcass getting loose bin them , you would feel they were not right though. . Any doubts get someone who knows what they are looking at to give them a once over .
