I only hear it going over bumps once the car is warmed up a little. It is getting worse too.
Any ideas what to check (and how to do it!?).
It could be unrelated.... but, I did just fit new suspension and I had to undo a bolt on the 'anti roll bar drop link' a little to get the bottom suspension bolt off and on. I screwed it back in again close to where I thought it was. These bolts are very close but there's no marks on them from hitting off each other when driving so it seems to be ok.
After fitting new suspension I'm going to get the geo done soon, but I'd like to sort this problem before getting it done in case replacing what ever is wrong screws up the geo again.
cheers

Scott,
Can't help with the description given but just a pointer for 10.
If you prevent the nut (right hand arrow) from turning by using an open ended 17mm spanner then you don't need to remove the drop links.

Just like metal hitting metal each time I go over a bump. The bigger the bump the louder the noise. It doesn't go away when I touch the brakes so isn't brake pad rattle.

Yea I didn't remove it completely, I just had to screw it back a little like you says.

Here's a pic of those bolts I was talking about which seem a bit close to me?? Don't think they are the cause of the noise tho

Oh bugger, ur probably right

That's how it is now, probably slack and probably causing a suspicious metal to metal sound lol.
Thing is if I tighten it up more the bolt touches the bottom suspension bolt. Maybe time to saw a bit off the suspension bolt??

If you can turn the bolt around as the bolt head will be smaller. Hopefully that will stop it!
