Hmm, shiney bits... (Throttle lever content)

Finally remembered to order a throttle likeage wile ordering things I needed from Geary:
Seenig at the rally cross Nova has died for the moment, I'll not be going to ingleston
so this will be todays task, as well as sorting out that bloody handbrake cable rattle!

Didn't take long and throttle response is sharp as it should always have been....
Still not sure about the rubber grommety thing on the end of the thottle cable, seems designed to introduce wobble....
Another job done
The handbrake cable seems to have cured itself too

Decided to do DDtB's ball joints instead.

Do you have double jointed shoulders? That was the only real problem
The two big phillips head screws are made of cheese (Shock horror
) and f-ing tight and I didn't disconnect the cable as the plastic clip looked tricky to remove in one piece. Only took about 1/2 hour.
Do you want to do my ball joints too?
I take it you have a ball joint removal tool, how long does it take to do a corner?

Depends - I probably do it the long way by removing the hub carrier.
Shouldn't take more than 1hr per corner, even doing it the way I do. Does help if the ball joint hasn't been welded in and snaps the head of the press bolt!
I bought a ball joint press from geary - stephen got one from ebay, much of a muchness to be honest - one is better in one respect the other in an other

Nice one. That will prbably be my next project. Pretty sure that mine are the original 1997 vintage jobbies
Next question is weather to go for the bushes too.....

As far I know the bushes are a complete barsteward to do.
I would only change them if you've got play in them. We noticed some play in DDtB's yesterday when I was checking for play in the top ball joint.
That will be an interesting job when it needs done. I know that Brunty has tackled it in the past.

Think if I went head first into the footwell I
A) wouldn't get past the steering wheel
B) would probably have to be cut out.
