Brake Parts Number Needed

Post by Tom » Tue Oct 21, 2008 10:58 pm

Having a real drama with MMC and Neil the new guy  :? . Got the second set of parts and they're still wrong. Can somebody have a look at their service notes for prob. 2005 cars onwards and tell me the part number of the pad securing pins shown in the picture below? (The ones with the narrow section in the middle of the pin).

Also, does anyone else's anti rattle spring clips look like the ones in the picture? The ones I've got have the arrow, but only one pair of horizontal 'wings' and not two as shown here...

EDIT: you cannot link directly to their images, however if you cut and paste this into your browser I think it will work - Robin

Cheers :D :D :thumbsup

ps Mods are there any copyright issues with that picture? Referenced source so hope not...

Sorry I don't have parts list with me.

I guess the ones you're after look like this:

Tom, pick up the telephone and call B&C - the picture Ali posted is from their online catalogue and they sell the A-revision pins (A111J0123F). What's the betting that the B-revision (B111J0123F) is the part you want. Anyway, I'm sure if you talk to them explain the part you want they will know what to order, now that we have established that the parts exist!

Cheers,
Robin

thanks Robin. I should've just used B&C from the start, but I've paid MMC so I'll double check part no. is correct and then get MMC to order them (again).

Right, lesson learned there. B&C were very helpful. Part No. is in fact: B111J0123H
Expected at MMC on Sat. Fingers crossed :?

So there is a difference between the B part number and the A part number - who would have thought it, eh ;-)
