Accusump seems to be the popular choice, Exiges.com is worth a look for some reviews.

Morosso is defintely the best option. A far better idea than the Accusump to be honest.

Interesting. I remember reading a post from someone who had spoken to the guys at Lotus Sport, and they reckoned that for the Yota engine a baffled sump made little difference and the the Accusump was the only reliable way to stop oil starvation - not quite sure of the reasoning.

Doesn't seem to be much of an issue anyway - Yota Elises and Exiges are heavily tracked all over the country just every weekend and engine failures must be very rare, otherwise there would be reports about such problems all over Seloc, Pistonheads etc. I can only remember reading about 2 such failures. Must be loads of keen trackdayers here (Kenny, Mass etc) who have done many hundreds of laps of KH with no oil starvation showing. Then again KH has no long fast corners - maybe it is only an issue on certain tracks?

Would agree, Spa springs to mind as a potential problem but I was looking at the graphs when I borrowed Mass' datalogger a while back, I was regularly hitting 1.3g lateral on Duffus and Hairpin and one occassion that logged a 1.6g corner. That was only recording on half a dozen laps when I was not really going for it.

You can hit high peak lateral G at any circuit but it is sustained high level lateral G that causes the problems.

The major problem with the Yota is sutained high revs and oil not draining back to the sump fast enough. That's where the higher capacity Morosso is a major help.

As Ed mentioned I have it on my car Craig. You do loose some boot space but it's tucked rear of the boot aperture so not too bad.
You're welcome to have a nosey at mine (I should have it back on Monday). I also have the technical notes on the Accusump, procedures, full parts list for the kit, schematic etc. if you need them.

Scotty's 2-11 also has the Accusump but fitted lower and longitudinally in his car. Strangely he doesn't loose any boot space...

Thanks Ali, Ill probably take yu up on that. Think Ill be going for the morroso anyway, Ive a small leak on the current sump so it kills two birds. Still like to see the accusump though.

Interesting thread on PH on this with the reported views of a Lotus engineer http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... 20accusump?
