S1 Flexi Downpipe Replacement

Does the S2 'K' series flexi pipe fit the S1?

And if so, are there any upsides to using the S2 version instead? Think it was recommended when I found out the downpipe was blowing but can't really remember now...

Also, I take it the change out is pretty straightforward? I guess access to the top flange might be a bit tricky?

Cheers

I've got a S2 manifold and downpipe on my car, you need the manifold to fit the downpipe. I've just bought a piper 4-2-1 manifold so my S2 manifold and downpipe will be up for grabs...much cheapness! I bought it off e-bay, came off a car after 5000 miles and I done about another 3000 miles on it. Fits straight on with no mods and is supposed to be alot better.

Kev.

Cheers for that. Seeing as I'm selling the car, I'll probably just pick up the standard S1 part then. Ta

Yep Kev is on the money.

The S2 manifold+downpipe pairing has some benefits (engine bay access after fitting, improved longevity as well I believe) and am about to rig up that lot on my own car.

Downpipe, in stainless, for £125 from PTP. Can't comment on manifolds as I'm getting mine 2nd hand from a dodgy dealer ;-)

But I've been through two std S1 downpipes in 75k miles now and it's time for something more bulletproof.

I hear the Piper setup is also excellent though!

Think it cost me £50 in total including postage costs from 2 differant sellers...make me an offer. You'll just have to wait until I fit the piper before you can get it, although it will be before the end of the month.

 It shouldn't take me that long to put the piper on, should hopefully be on before Friday if I pull my finger out or the 26th at the latest. I start working overseas from next month but it will be sitting at my parents house so you can pick it up when ever you want. Just give me a pm and I'll let them know when you're coming round for it.
