(NLC) My Polo....

...is b*ggered. Came out tonight and the front has dropped a fair amount at the passenger side.

Obviously suspension related but what exactly is it? and is it fixable without spending too much?? Any ideas??

Or suggestions about where I could take it near paisley??

sounds like a broken spring. jack it up and take a look - should be pretty obvious if it is

not too difficult to replace (easy to say if you know what you're doing and have spring compressors) as for driving it.............

Depends on if its still supporting the car, if it is then just consider it "slammed" chopping springs is a common way of lowering cars. If its busted in the middle then it'll be on the bumpstops (If there are any left) that is not good.

It looks like there's enough spring left to support the car. If you drive it as it is though you'll probably shred your tyre. If you can get the spring back up onto the support thing its popped off (not good with my technical terms) then you should be okay driving it (for a short distance, and very slowly esp round corners)

Quoted 140 for 2 springs, fitting and VAT. Sound ok??
