i now have two options to stop water filling the plug holes
1 fit the later euro 3 cam cover coil packs and plastic housing ( i have after market ecu )
2 find some way to seal the gap from an after market alloy cover to the cam cover ( i dont want to use goo of any sort )
option one does any one have the required parts for sale ?
option two any engineers in here that can get there head around a solution for a decent seal i recon there may be a market for such a thing
maybe machining the alloy plate to take a wiper blade insert along its edge ? or a lower firm gasket seal of sorts that sits below the alloy plate ?

Re: plug cover
Just use the EU3 plastic cover over the top of the EU2 cam casing.
Might need that one of the bolts on the plastic cover can't be done up - but since I've been running for yonks with only one bolt in it I don't see the problem.

Re: plug cover
It should clear them without an issue - you don't really need the alloy plate on and if you did keep it on it would make the plastic cover sit too high - Problem is that you can't dremell it to the right height as you would loose the built in washer bit (best way for me to describe it) which means that you would have no way of tightening it down.
the only place that you will have an issue is at the dizzy cap - if you look at the EU3 plastic cover it sits over a bit like a hat so that would need a bit of scuplting work.
