I've answered most of yer questions in the other tyre thread.. Longevity - they are a competition tyre, so lasting long isn't a priority. However, you should see 6000 hard miles (inc track) on single yellows, unless you get a bad set.
Don't worry about rain, as you never go out in it anyway!! Seriously, you get used to their behaviour on the very few times they aquaplane. Be sensible in the wet (as you should do in a Liz anyway) and there's no problem.

You're looking for RB5s. Compound to go for is single yellow spot (if they're the same now)
Warning though - they are competition remoulds, not the best of quality and the production process is variable - if you get a good set, they are brilliant, but a bad set can be a right pain. Think you can still get a full set for £200 or thereabouts, so you're not hosing money up against a wall, if they turn out bad. Of course, that's ex-fitting.
Final word of warning - they are basically a Rally car slick with the minimum of cuts to make them road legal. They don't have water clearing channels. You MUST be careful where there's a chance of standing water, because they do aquaplane.
All that said - I'm still convinced that a good set were about the best tyres I've had on the Liz."
