Exige S2 Driveshafts

My right driveshaft has just given up the ghost, taking the wheel bearing with it. Has anyone else had problems with these or have I just been unlucky?

First one I've heard of on here anyway ... probably just unlucky.

Any idea where I could get one apart from a dealer? The Lotus price is a bit

You could try Junks on seloc for a second hand one. He had a 111R in last time i checked.
I dont know where else you'd get a new one other than from lotus.
Is it not in warranty??

Is it the drive shaft thats broken or just the CV joint?

Unfortunately I've had it 15 months now (was almost 3 year old when I got it) and I didn't bother taking out any extra warranty as I thought with all of the nice reliable Toyota bits I'd be okay

I've not seen it myself - I had a friend driving it across Edinburgh to MMC to get the aircon looked at when it went - phoned me up to ask if the car normally made this banging noise
. According to MMC its the drive shaft. I'll make sure I get the old one for a look - will make a nice expensive ornament
