Exige S2 Driveshafts

My right driveshaft has just given up the ghost, taking the wheel bearing with it. Has anyone else had problems with these or have I just been unlucky?

Any idea where I could get one apart from a dealer? The Lotus price is a bit

You could try Junks on seloc for a second hand one. He had a 111R in last time i checked.

I dont know where else you'd get a new one other than from lotus.

Is it not in warranty??

Unfortunately I've had it 15 months now (was almost 3 year old when I got it) and I didn't bother taking out any extra warranty as I thought with all of the nice reliable Toyota bits I'd be okay   Expensive lesson learnt!

I've not seen it myself - I had a friend driving it across Edinburgh to MMC to get the aircon looked at when it went - phoned me up to ask if the car normally made this banging noise . According to MMC its the drive shaft. I'll make sure I get the old one for a look - will make a nice expensive ornament
