Buckled wheel...?

Post by Rich H » Mon Jun 16, 2008 11:02 am

Hey guys,

Having just had a pair of rears fitted it was pointed out one of the rears is slightly dinted and they are all corroded. There is also a vibration on the fronts too... could be dodgey balancing though

Will a refurb be able to remove a slight dint? Or do I need another wheel or 2?

Depends where dink is. An old ex went into a roundabout and dented the inside of the wheel where the tyre covers. A place in cleland sorted it for £15 and it was perfect. Im not sure of the weld it and then buff it back out but the repair seemed to work. There is also techniques for sorted out wheels that are slightly oval etc. Not sure though but hope that helped a bit :?

I have found a local place that want "From £55" so I have e-mailed them, will pay them a visit if the responce is favourable see what they can do. Its only a slight dent but the vibration is not good...

W Hamilton & Son
37, Bellside Rd, Cleland, Motherwell, Lanarkshire ML1 5NP
Tel: 01698 860692

Classification: Metal Polishers

I think this may be the place, Dont think can be many metal polishers in Cleland. I would give them a bell see what they say if its not too far for you mate. Might save you a bit of cash. As I said it was only £15 for the ex's when she went into a roundabout

Cheers, but a bit far for me.
I have found another place a bit further afield, see if they can do anything.
