One of the VXers has just had his wishbones, uprights corrosion protected and powdercoated by Plans Motorsport, looks good IMO.
Is there anyone in our locale that would carry out such work? Or would it be a case of putting the car up on axle stands, removing the bits myself and sending them off to Finesse/PPS?

Very noice. Bit someone who cares for their vehicle so as to ensure its value is retained and they dont drive a shed though...
Never thought about it, but it's only a bit o steel, so any powdercoater could forseeably do it, as long as they covered the bush/balljoint surfaces.

Perhaps it is a bit someone who cares for their vehicle so as to ensure its value is retained and they dont drive a shed, but it would protect them as well as clean them up. It's just not very convenient for me to take the car to bits as I need it every day, and have no garage to keep it
If you look at the bottom picture there, it looks like some of those inner surfaces haven't been coated

Ah - I meant covered while coating. You wouldn't want them powdercoated as the balljoints/bushes are interference fit. The extra thickness of the coating would mean nowt fitted any more - best case, you'd just strip the coating when you press the 'joints in.
It's not a problem, as these parts are pressed to the bushes and balljoint outers - hence no corrosion.
Out of interest - Tut's car is a 97 (I think) model and AFAIK, he's never replaced a wishbone or coated them - with all the KH kerbhopping, his would have suffered a failure if anyone's would - nowt the matter with them structurally, so like I say - purely someone who cares for their vehicle so as to ensure its value is retained and they dont drive a shed
