today while tinkering with the car I noticed my windscreen has been broken
the front clam has broken the corner off I don't see it spreading but I will give the insurance a couple of weeks before I claim for a new one (documents only arrived today). I am guessing this is a clam off job, so autoglass seems out of the question.
Is their anyone I should be insisting on etc ?

auto glass ect have done them before but its either slacken and move the clam or remove it all together just check who ever is doing the job has done one before
main concern is double check the clam is not touching the screen when refitted you should be able to slide some cardboard between it and the glass or you will be back for another screen later in the year

that is how my screen broke in the first place
would like the clam taken off and fitted by someone who has knowledge of how to do it properly and get it sitting correctly.
