Another not so tech question.
Can you tell I was off work today pottering around the car
Well anyway I got some of those ali ones from EliseParts but I am not too sure how to get the old ones off the floor and then fix the bottom section of the ali ones to the floor.
Anyone been through this already?

I've got aluminium ones and they didn't have a bottom part. I just unscrewed the plastic ones and then screwed in the aluminium ones.

- can you not just screw new ones into old bases?
if not, give Ali a phone - im sure he's fixed enough of them in his time at Murrays...
he'll be able to tell you what to use to re-stick

Use an alloy blind rivet to hold the bottom section to the floor - adhesive just doesn't work.

I was hoping to just take the plastic ones off and screw the alu ones on but they are different
Probably just sell the alu ones on, and get different ones, anyone suggest where I can get alu ones that are a direct replacement.....?

I got mine from eliseparts, but it looks like they've now changed them, which is why I didn't have the same problem as you. When I got them, it was just the top part and it screwed directly into the existing fitting.

Thats what I was hoping for, ordered the ones off hangar111 as they look a bit more user friendly...
