Help! Car won't start

I’m after a bit of help here. The car won’t start :(

The car was started accidentally in reverse so it bunny hopped a bit. Taken out of gear, started fine, 20 car lengths down the road and it stuttered and stopped. It now won’t restart. It was low on fuel, and with the slight angle of the drive it was reading refill but now its on the level its reading 8 litres after topping it up with what was left for the lawnmower :P

The inertia button doesn’t appear to have tripped, I can’t push it any further. The engine turns over fine but just doesn’t seem to fire. There is no smell of fuel so I don’t think its flooded.

Anything anyone can suggest to check? Any specific fuses? Settings in the Emerald ECU? It worked absolutely fine yesterday, just today its taken the hump

I would like to thank my postie for helping us push the car back up the street ;)

Any help appreciated 8)

Cheers

Andy

Fuel pump priming when on pre-ignition?

It doesn't seem to be, but I don't know if it does with the Emerald ECU :?

I looked at the fuse chart at lunch and couldn't see one for the pump, just the igintion circuit but now my lovely lady has told me there is a fuel pump fuse and she's trying to find it :)

on the S1, you pull back the boot lining and its on the nearside corner at the top of the boot divider - its in a small hole. Should be a 20A fuse.

It's not there in the S2.

In your car I've no idea how to explain it's location - but I'll try.

Looking towards the front of the car to the left hand side of the boot lid striker there should be a black plastic cap thingy.

It's in there. But it's a total bitch to get the plastic thing off and even worse to try and put it back on - don't be tempted to leave it off as I've killed an ECU that way.

The plastic cover is held tight by two allen screws - if you peel back the vertical bit of carpet on the boot you'll see them.

Is the plastic bit covering the ECU? If so that's what's she's trying to get off just now.

It does, for a lot longer than the (S1) standard ECU did.

So the car's turning over, but just not firing?
