Throttle linkage mod

Post by Shug » Wed Feb 01, 2006 2:45 pm

In the vein of my last theivery from Exiges.com, here's a link to a great mod one of the users has done to remove that crappy throttle linkage under the dash....

Oh, and if you want to keep the linkage (for pedal travel reasons), but remove the slop and introduce some tunability into your throttle setup - Eliseparts now have a replacement for the silly bar thing, fully ballraced and much more stable.

At last, the end of Elise throttle problems!

Cant see one on eliseparts but noticed the other day that elise-shop have them...

clicky

Looks good but shipping is expensive, maybe a good idea to do a group buy on 5 and get them sent together.

Geary is stocking them - probably just hasn't updated the site yet. Give him a call.

Only reason I didn't mention elise-shop was the shipping cost factor, but you're right about the group buy option. Anybody interested?

Prolly not now mate - these just alleviate a problem, they don't solve the design :(

Plus, on my car, I'd have to drill out the rivet and crap like that - on earlier cars with the bolt, it's a straight, quick, cheap and easy job.

I think I'm going to give the S2 Exige linkage job a go sometime soonish.
