fed up cleaning my wheels on exige , get them nice and shiney then after 5miles they are matt black again . Anyone ever thought bout powdercoating them so they are a more laquered finish ?

I use Poor Boys Wheel sealant on my wheels which is quite good . Certainly makes them easier to clean if you want to keep them nice with just a quick wash. http://www.superiorcarcare.net/pbws.html

Just stop using your brakes . I gave up trying to keep them gleaming all the time.

Just get your wheels sprayed matt black, that way they'll be the same colour when they're clean or dirty. You can just give up cleaning them then:lol:

I think wheels that are covered in brake dust look better than clean wheels, either that or I'm just lazy!

j33ama, I thought the Exige wheels were more of a satin finish and so were not really supposed to come up shiny. The wheel sealant we've mentioned on your other post will make the brake dust wipe off easier, but you're not going to be able to stop them getting dirty in the first place.

IMHO, gloss black wheels are disgusting :puke I think JJ once described them as like wearing white socks with a black suit! Plus, if you get them gloss, they'll just look even worse when they're dirty because there'll be matt dirty bits where they're covered in brake dust with shiny gloss bits poking through amongst the dirt!

yeah m8 they are satin black , kinda more shiney than matt . I wasnt really a big fan of gloss black either till i seen the beeswaxer rims on the gt3 rs (orange and black model) .

Anyway just gave my car a good detail last night , left some CG wheels guard on over night and gave car the full zymol treatment, gonna go and see the results plus apply some of my concours as final touch , might take some pics today

I'm getting mine done in 2 weeks time if you want to see the results mate? Booked in for weekend after next for 50 a corner.

Fed up of the satin and how brown it looks after one drive :(

I know some people don't like them but I think it will look great - and it's my car so.... meh! :D
