J33ama, how are you going to do your pads? My SBS ones are gold and i think they make the car look a big gangsta. I dont get "down with my homies" much and am worried that they will scare any potential suitorette off.

Should we organise a pad painting party?

No we shall not eh....fanny .....pad?

Do office staff know how to paint anyhoo?

Okay as our resident vehicle pimping expert i shall say

Why don't you paint only the bits of pad that are visible to the eye

You can get caliper painting kits from halfords which should have paint that will withstand the temps you will be reaching

Just try not to buy a bigger spoiler while you are in there

I dont understand this chat about offices - dont most people work in offices or have an office base of some sort?

What is your job j33ama? Superman? He doesnt have an office. Or maybe he does, if you count his desk at the newspaper place where he works during the day.

I am on site maybe 3 days out of a week and quite like getting back to the office for nice coffee and internets

If you read my first post correctly thats what I Intend to do you fcuk idiot.

I AM NOT PAINTING MY CALIPERS.

rs42 PADS are blue , When fitted INSIDE the CALIPER , the pad is still visible more so at the rear .

So now my car has an ugly blue bit showing inside the rear wheels, which accidently makes my car look , to the untrained eye that I have tryed to paint my calipers. It looks sh*t .

Jesus , do half of you even know what I am talking about ?

Go get yourself some pagids , then you will realise !

I work in my kitchen quite a lot ... does that make me an office worker, or some sort of "gay blade/gordon ramsay/delia" cross ;-)

Come on, J33MA, you know we have nothing better to do all day, so let's hear what it is you spend your day doing, when not banged up for having the wrong colour car/pads :-) :-)

cheers,
Robin

I am simply pointing out that the majority of folk who work in offices tend to get off on passing stupid e-mails around , and also tend to find forums , face book, bebo, myspace you name it , the back bone of their working day . I know this as I am on my m8s mailing list , so I get all the sh*t he passes around his work. none of which is remotely
interesting.

hence the fact alot of members on this forum get rather excited about the smallest of things said in the forums.

I graft day in day out .

Na I would maybe paint them black all over but only if done professionally.

Coloured calipers look cheap IMHO , unless they are big big mother fcuk. Exige calipers are a tad small.

But smuffs are blue as well; spray bake tan required?

why not use paint stripper to remove the blue paint, leave the pads outside in the rain overnight, and hey presto the pads will be orange to match the car :?:
