Hit a bit of a set back.

Phone call this moring - My Painter & Owner of the Shop came of his motor bike and broke his arms & shoulders,in Hospital right now getting pinned back together.

After I made sure he was ok (Honest) i asked .... What about the Lotus. I was told the Forman will paint the car, what a relief i thought. I then discovered the Forman had come off his Mountain Bike and broke both his wrists.......

What the F*ck! .....Whats the chances.

Gourlay luck strikes again.

Car is now in Primer. Hopefully get the car back in a few weeks.

Had some good news today, my interior arrived. Really didn't want to spend the money doing this but im so glad i did. I used Bell&Colvill who then send them directly to Lotus, Only took a month. I decided to go for Pro Back seats, a fairly new service there doing for the S1. The quality is superb, night and day compared to what was in it before.

Remember the car will be Orange when i get it back

Oh my goodness those seats look like sexual chocolate...!!! 8) Did I miss something or can they now do a Probax re-upholster on the original S1 seats? If so, that's next on my list! Probax seats are by miles the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in...

Yes they do.

I got some done by Lotus for a customer some 18 months ago so yes, they can. Didn't realise there was a time when they didn't. I just asked Mel the question and he said yes.

Not cheap though.

Thought it was a new thing, my mistake.

They don't really advertise though.

No they don't. Its a lot cheaper than it used to be though at only £75 per seat. Was double that in the past.

To be honest it was still a bit pricey. I strarted to add the Handbrake Covers etc.... saying "its only an extra £70"

Well, they added up..............got the invoice through on Tuesday and nearly pooped me pants.

 Yeah, I did a similar thing once and it ended up being not a kick in the arse off a grand!

It all adds up, that's for sure. Anyway, I'm sure it's cheap compared to the paint job. Burnt orange will be a bit pricey.

Yup that interior setup is something else, luvverly luvverly indeedy. Full respect mister!

I think if UJI becomes a truly long-term proposition for us, then this kind of makeover would be of interest to me as well. Although I simply *would* need to be wallet-conscious and not let my mind run away with me! OTOH I can see why you added all the little bits, brought together they are going to add such a unique and classy finish to the car.
