:rage

So, where do I get Silkolene oil and Castrol Super Response (or AP Racing) brake fluid? :scratch

Cheers,
D
I got mine at opie oils. Top service and the delivery was free as i spent over £35. They've got the castrol brake fluid too - I know cos i'm about to order some for SIDC prep as well

Forget Halfrauds.

Decent motor factor / parts outlet is what you need. Although they don't all keep Mobil 1 right enough.

dont look at it as £50 spent, rather £300 saved from swanning off to MMC's bank account 8)

I'd be happy to lend a hand on tuesday too if you like. I've got all the bits for doing an "old fashioned" oil change if you need them. It'd be nice to put faces to some of the names too :)

If I can get a day pass, I will be over with my sooker ooterer.. And the easy bleed.

Do you have a decent set of spanners?

I ordered a sooker ooterer and an easy bleed myself. Figured I'll need them in the future, so useful things to have in my gradually expanding toolkit!

I've got the sets of metric and imperial spanners we got as part of that bulk buy last year. I think they're pretty good. Got most tools and bits and bobs and if there's anything I don't have, my dad's on holiday, so I can pinch his stuff! He's an engineer and a bit of a DIY man, so has most things you'd need.

I think I'll give my air filter a clean and re-oil while we're at it too.

So, that's Steve, Ken and John possibly popping over. I think I'll need to make that the max folks, just in case anyone else was wanting to pop over. Sorry, but that's about all I've got room for car wise and don't want to p!ss the neighbours off too much!

Oil and brake fluid should be here in time, so let's go with Tuesday evening. I'm off work as I'll be coming back from a wedding, so will maybe start mid-afternoon and do the other things before you guys get there to help with oil and brake fluid. Feel free to turn up anytime from about 5pm. I'll PM my address.

Cheers,
D

Sooker ooterer, oil and brake fluid arrived today. Big :thumbsup for Opie Oils. I ordered 2 x 5L of Silkolene (stocking up for the future) and they threw in 2 extra litres for free! Will be useful for carrying one of the wee 1L bottles with me to trackdays. Also very prompt with their delivery. Ordered Tuesday evening, arrived this morning.

Guys, I'm going to be offline from about 10am this morning til late tomorrow afternoon as I'm off to a wedding, but I'll see you all sometime tomorrow night. Only reason I'll call-off is if it's p!ssing down. You've all got my mobile, so just text if you get lost on the way or whatever.

John, my eezibleed has not arrived yet. I'll try to get one from Halfrauds on the way home tomorrow, but can you please bring yours just in case?

Cheers,
D

Just remember not to get any brake fluid on your wheels... it takes off the paint and/or the powder coat very quickly!!!

Sorry again Jon!

Just back. Pretty bad hangover this morning, but a nice wee detour from Airth Castle Hotel back to Glasgow via Stirling/Fintry/Lennoxtoun/Strathblane definitley cleared the cobwebs! Thought I might as well get a final bit of use out of the oil and brake fluid before tonight! 8)

I'm off to change this headlight bulb before we get onto the oily stuff later.
