well...here's an update....

new handbrake cable fitted...new funky race discs and pads....
CV joint etc stripped and checked...
all panels underneath checked..

the Frickin rattle is STILL there! Appears after 20 mins of bendy driving...it sounds like the spring of the shock is rattling against the strut bit...

its back to the Lotus dude for a 3rd time on Saturday......joy oh joy...

if there is anyone out there who can shed some light on the saga...perleez help!!

The new Stereo rocks though! (not enought to disguise the noise!)

did they use shims when fitting the new brakes pads? If they didn't, or didn't use coppaslip that can cause a rattle.......

You should be a KH Saturday, not the garage :wink:

coppa stuff was used...the rattle is defo coming from the driver rear quarter shock..... :(

I had some rattles before I changed the read dampers over, because the rear dampers were waaaay past their best.

or perhaps a gubbed ball joint. I believe Lee replaced this on my car and cured the symptoms that you describe.
