Was wheelspin detector, Now shrek gets a bumjob

Today finished plating up the back end which is dull so no pics

Altered the left hand side brake which is like the right hand side but on the other side.

But on this side i have notched the disc in the milling machine to give the trigger wheel for the traction control.


And for those that are interested this is the length of a landy driveshaft which slides into the diff and transmits the power to the hub

Given the size of the notches I suspect you (a person) will struggle to see the flashes . . . I think you'll need something a little more clever than simple LED's driven off the sensors . . . as has been intimated . . .

A very simple wee microcontroller based solution would do the job, and cost pennies in components . . . and would give you exactly what you're after . . . left LED on = left wheel spinning . . . etc . . .

Well calipers rebuilt and fitted, brake lines installed and it was time for the test drive.

It donuts wonderfully



However the traction controls needs traction to work.




Haven't got any electronics stuf yet i was just looking out the window
