Its nice to see people trying to help, even when I'm asking stupid questions
I had to remove the rubber bumper paint I had put on it so I really cant paint it now - its really scratched up deep with the 80 grit orbital sandpaper I had to use to get it all off. The leather cover looked like a good choice to fix this issue at £90, other options I found were more than double that. I sent it back today with a photo of my console so hopefully someone there will be able to match it up. If not I'll have to source a new plastic one or pay £250 plus for a carbon one. All this because I wanted to spruce it up a bit.
