Unfortunately I'm going to have to remove the engine from the top as I won't be able to get the shell high enough to slide the engine and subframe out underneath.

You have a PM.

Kev.

I remember doing my metro by disconnecting everything and lifting the body off like a wheelbarrow maybe it was a bit lighter but I was 20 and weighed 6 stone at the time.

another hommer for Alan
The 340r has put me off. Everytime I see the car, Colin has removed/changed something.

Setting up the geo at the moment, not just for Colin but for the health and safety of all other road users (lethal).

Might even put the gear selector and undertrays on properly.

According to Jim, the mounts are too soft. Which is complete non sense imo.

The mass of the exhaust is better supported on Sanjoys, simple as that. Colins exhaust produces good power but the hanging points were a bit of an after thought. Which has led to primaries cracking (or the welde) very often

Jim's had enough and so has Colin, so looking like a trip down south.

And Colin has done 25k plus which never helps.

Be careful! Make sure the grinders/saws have a guard and safety cut off switch! I'd direct you to Alan's facebook pictures if you have no idea what I'm talking about!

Saw (sic) a bloke today with polycarbonate glass, steel toe cap boots cutting a bit of cast drain pipe with a grinder. He was wearing a T-shirt; the pipe was held by his boot ... :-).

I was going to point out to him that many of the bits between his toes and his eyes would come in quite useful in life and that he should clamp his pipe properly (not to mention he was doing this on the pavement ...). In the end I was too distracted by the hordes of screaming girls outside Forth FM who were obviously not screaming for me ... however I gave him and them my best stern look and moved on into the lair that is my office :-)

Cheers,
Robin
