I would turn off closed loop running until you get the O2 sensor reading working. No O2 sensor, no closed loop running.

With a narrow band sensor it makes no sense to use adaptive mode unless you're going to fill the whole AFR Target table with 14.7 as this is the only point that the narrowband sensor accurately measures.

The target AFR in closed loop (not adaptive) is always 14.7 anyway.

So for now I would fill the whole AFR Target table with 14.7, AFR Corrections with 0.0, Feedback mode with white (open loop).

Once you get your narrow band sensor working, the AFR indicator on the live settings page will show you the rich/lean condition (regardless of feedback mode). When you get it to start reading rich/lean (i.e. you've fixed the lambda input, sensor or configuration) then you can turn on closed loop running for the idle-cruise sites (i.e. 0-4,000RPM and closed-half throttle).

When you get a wideband sensor you can move to full adaptive with richer AFR entries in the high RPM/high throttle conditions and leaner settings elsewhere, especially if you don't have a cat ..

Cheers,
Robin

P.S. if you read your ECU configuration and map files back out of the emerald and post them to me, I can double check your lambda configuration, though I'm sure you've got it right.

Cheers,
Robin

Alan, there is always Ricky if you can drive there. Knows the Emerald very well and can normally sort out most problems.

Robin - Files sent, thanks for the help.

Tut - It's not really a problem/fault, more learning how to set-up the Emerald properly. It's nothing like Kpro etc, so a bit a steep learning curve at the moment.

Alan, I have a couple of O2 sensors, one at least is brand new. Give me a shout if you want to use one.

Car is now fully back together (2 nights until 1.00am). So took the car out for a spin with the laptop connected.

The map is all over the place, and with no wideband or even a normal 02 sensor (for idle) it is impossible to know where my fueling is. I will have a go at sorting out the fueling tonight but looks like I won't be at amp3 with the Toxic Frog.

I believe one of the issues is down to fuel pressure, Caterham modify the regulator (or the spring) so a higher fuel pressure is achieved. I have a 3 bar FPR, so it may be lean everywhere.

I'll add fuel in stages and see how it drives.

If you need someone to rag it about while you map it you only need to ask.......
Seriously though - if you need anything bought or picked up im off today and can easily run about if you want.

That's me in.

Fueling is 90% there and drives well, so amp3 here we come :D

Capped the revs to 6500 just incase, plenty for a charity day.

You might need to show him how to use the Terry's Chocolate Orange Wrapper first ;-)
