But it will feel like 12p when you find out what Lotus ask for it ;-) (Actually, I've never bought one from Lotus or any of the elise parts places, so I don't know that for a fact, but why let the facts stand in the way of a good yarn, eh?) :-)

Cheers,

Lol! Absolutely.

I've never bought one from Lotus either. First time I pulled one out I noticed the Ford part number and popped down to the local dealer with it.

They fit everything from escorts to transits.

Maybe I haven't been as lucky as I once thought.

When I start the car the battery warning light comes on, but when I rev it a couple of times it goes off.

I will stick a meter on it (if I can get in) and see what it's putting out, what should I be looking for ?

Do you prefer driving the car or tinkering with it?

I am using it daily and it has taken the shine off it a bit if I am honest, so the plan is spend the next week getting the clio sorted out then hopefully when I do drive it it will be a bit of an occasion

I am going to rewire this in with a maxi fuse holder and 80 amp maxi fuse, That will entail replacing the cable and re routing it to the back of the boot similar to the S2 K series cars.

anyone know what type of cable I should be using ? and where to get the electrical bits and bobs online is best as I am a busy chap and all :D

Try here for electrical bits and bobs. One stop shop :thumbsup . Or if you prefer here, but much harder to find what you are looking for.
