Maxsport come direct from manufacturer (or Demon Theives if you've got too much money)

http://www.maxsport-competition-tyres.co.uk/

You're looking for RB5s. Compound to go for is single yellow spot (if they're the same now)

Warning though - they are competition remoulds, not the best of quality and the production process is variable - if you get a good set, they are brilliant, but a bad set can be a right pain. Think you can still get a full set for £200 or thereabouts, so you're not hosing money up against a wall, if they turn out bad. Of course, that's ex-fitting.

Final word of warning - they are basically a Rally car slick with the minimum of cuts to make them road legal. They don't have water clearing channels. You MUST be careful where there's a chance of standing water, because they do aquaplane.

All that said - I'm still convinced that a good set were about the best tyres I've had on the Liz.

IIRC you can get a set of BF Goodrich (spelling?) tyres from costco for about £240 fitted for the S1, probably a better bet for a mostly-road person.

Costco say they can only sell BFGoodrich when they are out of stock of Michelin. At the moment they have Michelin Pilot Exalto's to fit the elise at approx £78 fronts and £98 rears.
Does anyone have any experince of these?

Stephen, personally i wouldn't go for anything else other than T1R's for the road (or maybe advans). They're the same price as BFG's/Michelin and are a totally superb tyre. You wont get better in the wet, and they're brilliant for the road wet or dry. No big let go's, real grippy predictable tyre. They're a touch soft for hard track use if you go totally mental, but can still handle it ok. If you've got the cash, go for the Advans, but if its between Toyo/ Michelin/BFG's there's no contest, it would be Toyo's for me all the time.

Cheers

Gordon
