Sometimes i think i just wasn't meant to have an elise - someone just reversed into me in asda car park and then left a note with a fake number!

I'd go and check if asda has cctv in there car park (would have thought they do) and see if you can see anyone crashing into your car. If you can get a reg number report them to the police.

already done that - "the cameras are on rotation and don't cover all the car park - i'm afraid there's nothing more we can do"

apparently somebody saw them do it and took a note of their number plate but decided not to pass this on to customer services.

People are creatures of habit - go back to the same car parking space same day next week and put a big placard on your car (you know, one of those fluorescent cardboard things).

Write on it "REWARD: DID YOU SEE SOMEBODY REVERSE INTO THIS CAR ON <date>?". Either stand with the car or write down a telephone number.

Then, if anybody gives you the right information, give them 50 quid or whatever (assuming the other party ends up being insured).

For good measure, take the note to the police along with the correct number plate and witness details and they can prosecute the other person for something or other no doubt
