Yep, the bracket can weaken and flex, but that is easily checked and probably not the cause.

Rich H no Problems with 5th - apart from the usual PG1 fun.

Call Ali and booked it in he thiks either red hose or slave

Going to check for hose of red this evening but seeing as my car was built in June 00 I would imagine it would be braided but best to confirm.

No way that you have a red hose in a 00 car.

Confirmed no red hose. it's the braided type.

Ali's going to replace the slave.

Trip out to Ali's confirmed the symptoms fine when cold and then getting progressively worse after reaching operating temp.
