Any reason that graph misses out the points in the curves that show up the dip on anything but the standard filter. If you interpolate the graph the same as the points marked in the upgrade filters, it'd look the same?
Or is it just an approximation of the dyno readouts?

makes good reading look at air filters

Air filters - needed for engine longevity.
Only reason to install a different type is for economy if going for a panel or noise if going for an induction kit.

hangar 111 is the place i got mine mate. Either that or you can buy the panels on ebay for the equivalent cost.
If you're in dundee, will Autosave on the Cleppie Road not do a K&N panel for a Rove K-Series (assuming its still in business... long time since I was home!)

problem for the std filter is the air supply is too small , rover found this when they devoloped the 160 (if you cannot get air in / or out fast enough performance will suffer ) so they changed the exhaust manifold for out but also the air box for in

they increased its size made the inlet larger and altered the flow patten as shown above
Very interesting that. I take it that airbox won't easily fit in an S1 engine bay? I'd be prepared to look into that alteration provided a K&N panel is still available to fit.

Similar mod for Lotus' version of the 160 - S2 111S. Bigger airbox and 2nd entrance to resonator box (fabled 'baby octopus'). I think the resonator was just for noise reduction? so could just have 2 inputs...
Airbox may be the same as MG, worth a try fitting in an S1 Campbell - someone must have one lying around (post hurricane etc. installation).

Anyone tried the MGTF airbox yet ?
The hose from the side vent on mine has perished and while looking at it it seems to take an odd U bend type path, this may be in part due to the direction of the output on the airbox, is this for some specific reason, dirt trap ??
Just thought before I replaced the pipe it might just be an idea to get a TF airbox re-route the pipework and fit an ITG panel filter, anyone who what would happen if I fudget the side vent to remove the gap at the bottom ? again is this for dirt or engine cooling or something else.

Purchased my ITG panel filter today
I will re-route the piping for the airbox at the same time and let you all know how it sounds/goes

what kind of re-routing are you doing?
I've got Dickson's ex 111S airbox kit to play with but not quite sure where to start!!

The std airbox has a U shaped tube going to the side intake, I plan on removing that (the tube has split) and replacing it with a tube that goes straight to the side intake. similar to the sport 160
Still wondering if I should fit the "ebay kids fan supercharger though"

ah right!
will have a look at the S1 111S airbox potential when I open my std airbox up to clean the panel filter as part of my "service in stages" over the next couple of weeks
