ive only had the W800 for a few days. From what ive seen its an ace phone. seems to store tracks much like an ipod. comes with 512meg so good for 8 to 10 albums. can go to 2gig which i reckon is plenty.(who wants their entire library -30gig- on a walkman?)

2megpixel camera - plenty unless youre a serious photographer, and the headphones have a 3.5mm jack in them so works in car with ipod hookup

and its been on the market for a while to iron out glitches. i dont like buying brand new phones because they inevitably rush them onto the market too quickly and they can go wrong(IMHO).

So, from my experience, and what i've heard, a top phone.

I have a W800 and agree its a good phone.

I also use it in the car with the supplied cable for 3.5mm jack output. Lovely stuff.

Best bit about it, and the thing that does my head in with phones, it that after next to no time, they look worn out and sh*t - Ive had the w800 for 6months now, and it still looks like new.

I also have a geektastic exige theme which is neat.

I quite fancy the W800 for in-car tunes and hands-free (Nicola 'owns' my ipod).

Bigger card would be good for tunes on long trips - 'ring, Spa etc. but I think it also fits my new Samsung vid camera so I'll maybe take 2 or 3 spare cards for video (save lugging the laptop and downloading). 8)

Cheers,
Ali

Hey Tom, 2 Gig stick arrived and works real nice! :) Now I just need to work out what to fill it up with! Seems to be a genuine Sony one or a very good copy, either way I'm not particularly bothered. A saving of £400 from Jessops price :P

Tom did you get them yet?

I've just tried to take mine out the PSP and it's stuck! Eventually got it out, it seems to be slightly thicker than the 32mb one.

Seems the seller is no longer registered with ebay

Bought them and no show after 5 days. emailed the guy ok, went back to check messages that night and no longer registered. aaaarrrrrgggghghhhh!!!!!****&&**&&*&. :x
filed complaint and then heard back from him. ebay shut him down as they thought he was selling fake LV handbags. (was your guy bendun1read by any chance?). they are wrong apparently.

anyway they should be waiting for me at the postal depot now(finally). will pick up this afternoon and let you know. was your card in the sony packaging etc? i take it it looked fairly genuine.

the perils of ebay i guess. :x :?

That was the same guy who sold me mine.

hope you get them without any hassles, he seems sounds enough. Can't remember him selling any LV handbags (not that I was looking )

right. sorted out finally. guy seemed pretty sound despite the co*k up. card now in situ. very slightly thicker than 512 but goes in and out without any trouble(steady shug...). works brilliantly. would def. recommend in principle(and would recommend the same seller as well-there was a screw up but genuinely not his fault i think).

so, W800i is a wicked phone. walkman is great(-buy a 2gig card for it-cost me £41.50). camera ace. radio ace. can't fault it.

Got a shiny new W810i. :)
Sync with outlook seems to work and lots of tunes transferred (converted all my iTunes to MP3's). Now I just need a bigger card for long trips. :)

Cheers,
Ali
