Though I`d update on the ipod plugin cable.

Fitted it today, once I got the stereo out (cheers Mr Spook for use of the remover tool!).

Took out stereo, then removed passenger side speaker cover. This lets you get the cable from the stereo down to the footwell area, where I routed it and insulating taped it to other cables over to the drivers side. Took off drivers side speaker cover, which let me bring the cable back up into the wee cubby hole to the right of the steering column and means no dangling cables anywhere.

I found it impossible to get the cable from the stereo slot ddown into the footwell through the rubber gromit that all the cables go through to removing the speaker grills was the easier option (and took 2mins).

So all in, 6squid well spent!

Pleased to hear you managed to get it sorted in the end.
Like the idea of routing through to the drivers side! :thumbsup
