Robin on the money as ever.
Note that a Kiwirog breathed on head will make a car feel magnificent for those who already like the standard delivery but fancy "just that little bit more" without sacrificing low-end torque / driveability etc.
However I think you have a 111S, which means already very revvable...I can only comment as a regular std Elise owner moving to something which works out slightly better than a 111S once Kiwirog has worked his magic
Maybe that header tank cap was your answer!

Hmm. I recently extended the network in the house and needed more hard connections than my existing router could provide. Robin answered my question (within minutes) with a link to exactly what I needed to buy.campbell wrote:Pete,

Bought it, bolted it to the wall in my new comms cupboard (God I am such a geek) and didn't test it, thinking "Robin told me it would work. It will work."
Finally got round to wiring it up late last week (wires were all laid but with no plugs on them, some of them under floors that could no longer be lifted), plugged it in and...
it worked.
Course it did.
Robin said it would.

I think you should get a new head anyway with the money you have hopefully saved from not having HGF so I can have a go and see if its worth it .

If you really want to make the car feel faster you do need to get rid of the VVC mechanism, but that changes the character of the car so much I cannot see that is the right move unless you plan on mainly track use.

Don't count your chickens too soon - if you keep getting mayo here then you must have some source of water getting into the oil.5. There has been some mayo under the oil filler cap, but none inside the engine that I can see, nor anything but clean water in the resevoir.
However, monitor the coolant level and mayo build up for the next week or two and then take it from there.

I had the equivalent of the DVLA kit on my S1 111s and it was faultless, and is still going strong as far as I know. It made 180/140 at Dastek with a Janspeed manifold and it was definitely a lot smoother to drive, but easily as quick as my Exige. The work was done to the car before I bought it though so I can't comment on whether the gains over standard are worth the money or not.
