Might be worth hanging off to see what deals Bill might be offering following Del's chat with him. Personally, my main reason for going to Dan's, as well as the great reviews he'd had on here, was cost. £350 vs. £140 was a no-brainer for me!

It'll be interesting to see what prices/discounts MMC provide. If the lotus stamp is important to you (I think it is on a newish car) try F1 in Newcastle. Used them myself and thought highly of them. Also cheaper than MMC at that time.

Personally it wouldn't bother me much having the dealer stamps if I looked at a car- could still have been thrashed to death regardless. Condition/age/owner's attitude would be more important...
How long u planning to keep it might be a decider.... you keep say 3 years @9k (2xA and a B service) and add up the extra cost at a dealer, will you recoup that in added value? Not sure TBH....?
Of course there will be a dozen people along to contradict this in the morning.

i'd get it booked in with Dan mate - unless MMC can guarantee that Ali will work on the car for you, and your not too worried about the pennies.

If there's a possibility of you selling up in the near future, or trading up even, I'd wager MMC would prefer your far to have FLSH or give you a lower price without. Put yourself in the shoes of a buyer, and ask how much it would mean to you to have a book full of expensive stamps
I hope you're planning on running it until it decomposes, so go to Dan's

Or use a postman pat post office stamp instead - no one will tell the difference between a faded Lotus stamp and one with Jess the cat's paw print

Anyone in the know, buying your car in the future might preffer a JPS stamp to an MMC stamp.

Black Disco 3, black van man spec...

My 9K service at F1 at Newcastle, with Lotus stamp, was £250 in January.
