V6 Exige brake pads

Post by Simon82 » Sun Aug 09, 2015 12:29 pm

What is everyone running and where's the best place to get them from? Not had any complaints about the standard ones to be honest but thought I would ask the question.

If the standard pads work well why change?

Pretty sure the Cup cars are running Pagid RS14 pads. :thumbsup

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

Problem seems to be that the standard ferodo material is not compatible with the Pagid material, and causes transfer.
I thought the standard pads were quite good.

Standard pads are good, just not so easy to get hold of in a hurry it seems. Looking for spare set to take on frolics just in case but Murray's couldn't tell me if they had them in stock or not and if they don't then I'd be surprised if they would be before the weekend

Seriously Lotus sell the standard pads a lot cheaper than dealer price:
Fronts - http://www.seriouslylotus.com/featured/ ... erodo-2500
Rears - http://www.seriouslylotus.com/featured/ ... erodo-2534
I just ordered a couple of weeks ago and I think they came next day.
If you want to try CL6's I've got a set of unused pads (fronts I think) I could be persuaded to part with. I wouldn't recommend using anything other than standard pads on the standard discs though due to the issues a couple of us had with pad transfer.
