V6 Brake Pad Dimensions

Post by neil » Thu May 22, 2014 7:33 pm

Has anyone got a spare set of V6 brake pads lying about that they could measure? I've just had some CL RC6 pads delivered and one set looks the wrong size. From memory the front and rear pads are similar in size but what I've got are clearly different sizes. I'd rather not have to take the pads off the car to work out which one's wrong....

Neil,

I was advise the front and rear are different sizes, mine removed from car are as follows

Rear's are 128mm x 55mm
Fronts are 125mm x 50mm

Pitch of holes for pins are the same at 100mm

I can send some pics tomorrow if it is any good to you

Cheers

Graham

Neil,

Apologies, it should read as follows

Fronts are 128mm x 55mm
Rear's are 125mm x 50mm

Just back after dinner and a few beer's, having a great night. Wife's birthday, took her out to Malmaison for dinner and forgot to take my wallet. Then mess up first response to yourself, must be an age thing.

Cheers

Hmmm, measured the pads I've got and one of them's 147mm wide. Somehow I don't think that'll fit! Could I get a look at your pads over the weekend? Would be good to compare them to the CL catalogue.

Will need to get spares for mine as well, 4 pot front Caparos which are hopefully standard size.

Hi Neil,

I'm changing my front pads tonight, you're welcome to have a look anytime.

The dimensions I took were for the friction pads not the metal backing plates as the shape made it hard to size accurately.

Cheers

Graham
