Afraid not Sanj, it has to be a mechanical or electrical fault, wear and tear, ie:- corrosion, is not covered.

Sanj, if it is on the passenger side it's a good chance it's one of the pump connectors or the fuel line itself. There should be an access cover behind the passenger seat that lets you into the top of the fuel pump where it sticks out of the tank. On the top of the pump there is 2 connectors one supply and one return. Could be that the seal inside the supply connector is perished if it hasn't be used in a long time. I would start there before stripping out the shear panel. The fuel lines run from the top of the tank through the bulkhead, you should be able to see them just above the chassis leg height. Guessing you will have an uprated pump and possibly new fuel lines.
If it turns out to be the tank and you need to remove it you will need to access the top of the tank to disconnect the pump anyway.

I should have followed through with this...

Just had my braided hoses fail on me, fuel spraying everywhere. Car was warming up prior to going on a run, luckily there was only 10l left in the tank and it dumped this over the engine and exhaust manifold then conked out before it got up to temps to ignite.

Craig has informed me the pipes were crumbling in their hands when the braiding was removed.

If you own a converted car please check your hoses.

Sounds like it is the wrong grade of hose. Possibly fitted 3/8" or 1/4" oil line rather than fuel line. The fuel line hose is made from different rubber that is fuel resistant oddly enough.
