Post by GregR » Thu Sep 21, 2006 1:26 pm

S2 Bilsteins.... what ride height?:-

135/135 - 530 GBP
125/135 - 540 GBP (this is the same as the "Lotus" kit)
110/120 - 560 GBP (comes with all required lowering brackets and rack raiser plates)
100/110 - 560 GBP (comes with all required lowering brackets and rack raiser plates)

Cheers,

as a road car. 125/135.

as a track car. 110/120

highest option is too high and looks stupid.
Lowest option is too low for those springs so will constantly bottom out

i used to run 110/120 with nitrons and had no real problems. Now running 100/110 and it is a touch too low for the road but i have much stiffer springs.

The thing you have to know is if the stiff is spring enough to stop it grounding out on compression. I would suspect that 99% of the time the 110/120 is good enough.

Don't be a woofter, I have 110/120 and no major (Car) problems, the occasional numberplate removaland clam scrape but nothing major.

potentially £560 Graham - speaking to SteveB at the moment. Have decided to get this car sorted rather than upgrade, so the credit card is going to take a pasting!
