So currently you can wave to passers by from the elige without lowering the window, that's how big the gaps are! People joke about how in the S1 you get a shower in the rain but even after a 340 this is too much
Some of this is due to window adjustment, the back of the window is to high compared to the front, is it possible to adjust the windows rake? I know the bottom screw adjusts the inward tilt but couldnt see any others?
Not many S1 Exige on here but wondered if someone could do me a big favour and take a picture of the top seal of the s1 exige roof where it meets the side windows? I dont have any seal just now so no idea what it should look like and Im hoping this explains the size of the gap. Unfortunately Lotus are out of stock/discontinued.
Thanks Craig.

No idea on the adjustment, but I am fairly sure that the window and door are same as the S1 elise.

When I converted my car the seal was a nightmare to get - Lotus don't have them I was told (and that was a few years back). I got one second hand.
The seal is key to the roof sealing - it's about 75mm wide and flat/shaped along the top front edge and is joined to the side parts which run along the windows, there should be holes in the roof for the push fit Christmas tree shaped fixings.
It also depends what roof you have - is it single or double skinned? The kit I had came with double thickness roof which had to be stuck together - this meant the factory seal fitted Ok.

Not good then. The roof is double skin, I saw from the drawings that its U shaped and goes right around the front. Do you have any pictures?
Ill put something up on Exiges and see if anyone there has any idea?

Just had a look through the photos I have, but none show it really. Exiges will have the answer and maybe some photos.
The side seals are a tube with the holes for the christmas tree fixings; I would guess a man of your skills armed with some photos and
http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/c-14-rubber.aspx could get something to work.
The front seal is largely made by how decent the clamp panel inside is fixed to the roof, sort that and then the window joints and I would guess it would be a lot more watertight.

From that pic it looks to be the same as the factory hard top for the elise. It doesn't do anything special as far as fit is concerned. The window butts up to the square on section of the seal which is maybe as much as 20mm square. It's pretty solid though, not a soft wipe past seal like a modern car.
