Sad thing is that the last thing people seem to want these days is feedback. I've spoken to non-car fan friends telling me how great the steering is in their x,y,z because it's so light and you can't feel the vibrations from the road!

The whole raison d'être is the feedback from what the steering, suspension and the wheels are doing.
Take that away and you may as well be driving a bus.

Ford Taurus I had in California in sept was devoid of any feedback at all. Made coming down off mountain passes really scary cause you had no concept of how much grip was available.
In my view it not only increases availability of driver aids but actually makes them necessary as without any feedback there has to be greater chance of losing control?
