I'm looking at option for engine upgrades or conversions. Anyone in the central belt had a conversion done?

Id stick with the charger as you already have an S and just modify. If you really want turbo some guys in the states have done this, have you been on "lotus talk"? Think the guys name was phil but required a different ecu as far as I remember. There is some really cool stuff happening with TVS chargers which create a lot less heat so can run higher boost but not sure what stage this is at.

I think the biggest problem is the gearbox, I can't see any bullet proof solution save for swapping in an MR2 turbo box and then the ratios aren't great unless your running way more power.

Not sure if turbo power delivery would suit the Exige, I find I get bored of turbo cars quickly once the novelty wears off but I think if I wanted to go turbo I'd sell the existing engine/gearbox/blower/ECU and send it to Autograph for the TFSi swap.

these guys do a nice looking turbo kit bri......on a stock gearbox and claim to say they havent had any probs.....but, im not totally convinced, as you already know a few on exiges.com have had issues with their gearboxes. i seem to hear the words that the stock is good for 300bhp, but just stuff i have read.......alot of the guys look to do an upgrade gear set to some spur gear setup thats alot stronger (but are noiser) and then also fit a gearbox cooler........

loving the avatar :thumbsup by the way

P.S the dream engine swop i would like to try in an exige is this,
