NLC - Clicking brake pedal?

Wife's Fiesta is for sale, and it runs great but there is a weird "click" that you can hear when you press the brake pedal.

It sounds like it's coming from the front, not the actual pedal, but if your suuuuuuper smooth and suuuuuuper slow when applying the brakes, or when you've been driving it for a while and everything is nicely warmed up, it doesn't seem to make it. Brakes feel fine, and the pads were changed in February this year when it had it's MOT.

Any ideas?? Want to be able to give a reasonable suggestion as to what it could be if the buyer asks tomorrow...

Possibly abs? My rover 45s abs would kick in whilst driving giving a clicking, replaced the sensor ring and it went away

No it sounds more mechanical than that... Puzzling...

More likely to be the following after recent pad change :-

Calliper not tightened
Brake pad knocking against carrier
Lack of grease/ fitting kit/wrong pads/wear in carrier

Take the wheel off and check for any movement in pads and that everything is tight


If there is any play, you can bodge it by making up shims and folding them over one end of the pads before reinserting
