Hi
Can anyone tell me how to remove the headlight from an s1 Elise ?
Help with Headlight Removal
Re: Help with Headlight Removal
Having just done this 4 times in the last week for MOT beam adjustments, it's fresh in my head.
Dead simple. You need to jack up the correct side, remove the front wheel and then remove the two screws that hold in the front of the wheel arch liner. You can then bend the liner back to get access to the headlight. To remove you'll need to disconnect the wires (multi plug and sidelight which pulls out), fully remove the three adjuster wing nuts and remove the light unit with the carrier it sits in. Remember to catch/retain the three springs.
If changing the headlight, you'll need to remove the light unit from the carrier it sits in. Keep a note of the position of the glass relative to the carrier so you can refit in exactly the same position so you don't get MOT issues like I did.
It's pretty straight forward once you can see it.
