Got a couple of small jobs to do re the detailing of Gareths old Exige. Have to admit to being a bit of a polisher......
How do I remove the front Grill? Is removal of the front indicators the same as on and S2 Elise (small hole/screwdriver to clip and hope to hell you do not break anything) or is there some other wizardry involved......

On MY05 Exige it was a clam off job. If its rusty then this should be covered under warranty.

Warranty is only 2 yrs and car 2.5 yrs old. Can do it in situ but would prefer to remove and do properly. Also the tow bracket is in need of some attention and for this would def have to get the grill off.

Martin,
Don't think you can take it off without removing the Clam as the it is bonded in place from the inside. After our run over the Lecht I masked up all round it and repainted carefully by hand. Looks like it will be an onging job but not a difficult one.
Hope you enjoyed the car at the weekend.
Cheers
Graham

My last exige had a tatty grill as does my current one - really lets the car down. On my last one I carefully masked it off and gave it a quick wirebrush. I then sprayed it with hammerite satin black. You can also catch most of the towing post as well. It is not ideal as the over spray collects on the plastic/grp behind the grill but was still a huge improvement over the rust. I did the sidepod grills at the same time.
I will be tackling the grill on my S as soon as the weather heats up.
P.S.
I was hoping to catch a glimpse of "Gareth's" exige when I was at MMC on Saturday but I was too late as your 111R was already sitting outside

Looks like I will be investing in Hammerite next weekend. Would be this weekend but have a commitment to my wife re her birthday and am already in the doghouse re the purchase of the Exige
I was down in Edinburgh by 1030 and away again by 1145

Cannot stop smiling when behind the wheel....
