I have the same issue with an ITG backplate and the fuel rail (keep thinking about putting the ITG on as I have one sitting there). Any airbox I've seen that works, the rail is actually beyond the plane of the end of the bodies, so the backplate is curved away. I'd thought about getting spacers made to extend the throttle bodies and give enough room, but in the end, I've just stuck with the Bernard Scouse airbox (even though it's not the best design for sealing) Not sure how people would get the ITG on with standard injectors - doesn't seem possible, so why QED would supply that filter for that setup, I don't know - perhaps one to ask them...?

Just checked pictures of my Jenveys that I had on my clio 172 but the actual throttle bodies are much longer and the fuel rail is aftermarket but they are nowhere near the filter baseplate.

a spacer was my first thought?

I'm waitng on a response from QED, so will post an update.

Made up some spacers in Pro/E, away getting priced up by CNC machinist. This will also have an effect on the filter, as the 140mm won't fit anymore.

Hope it's ready for Amp3......

Response from QED, they supply spacers to fit the backplate. Why you can buy a back plate for my car (they have a Caterahm SLR one) and the spacers are not part of the deal is beyond me but at least there is a solution.

Only trouble now is, air filter won't fit and it will take 2 weeks for a 120mm one to arrive.

Here are some snaps of Lawrence's throttle bodies, backplate, trumpets, injectors and air box ...

The air box doesn't contain a filter - instead it is extended into the nose (the bodgy looking bit on the front is home made ;-)) and then a PiperX cone filter is attached to the air intake.
