S1 Rear Window fastening clips?!

Post by I-Mac » Tue Jun 14, 2011 1:03 pm

The clip that holds the roll hoop cover and rear window in has come away from the bodywork on my S1.... :(

Any ideas for the best way to secure these? The rivets have pulled through the fibreglass leaving 4 holes :( I guess I could redrill and re-rivet with a bigger rivet, but wondered if anyone has experience on what does and doesnt work....?

Is there a good glue that is recommended for repairing fibreglass/bonding to fibreglass? (NoMoreNails...? Hahahahaha)

....bloomin fireglass cars! :P

I suppose you could use Tiger Seal if its a glue type substance your looking for.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Tiger-Sea ... B002SQY852

It will never move once set and is safe on the fibreglass. People use it to secure splitters so plenty strong enough.

Gav.
