There is a seloc thread showing how to strip and galv them yourself. Iirc it was referenced in a SE thread about it. Search for vinegar.

Holy thread resurrection, Batman!

Was it really 6 months ago I asked this? Time flies...

Anyway, I now have a complete set of bushes and a rust proofing / underseal kit - Will be tackling a major refurb of the hairdresser wagon next week.

Have decided to go with the POR 15 route - But... I'd like to have the wishbones / ARB's blasted with some sort of media to take them back to the bare metal, prior to me dousing them in Marine Clean / Metal Ready, and finally POR 15 Rust Preventative paint.

Does anyone know of anywhere near Stirling that could do this with a quick turnaround, and at a reasonable fee?

:thumbsup

Don't know anyone in Stirling but a guy in Newburgh, Aberdeenshire does a fantastic job-we take everything to him now. Really nice guy too. If you need anything picked up/dropped off there while you go offshore let me know and I'l sort it for you! :)

There is a guy in Stirling I've used fir wheels. He's in the same industrial area as SMS tyres, between the castle and the Raploch.

Will take a note next time I pass if you can't find it.

Cheers Jen :thumbsup

However I'm hoping to remove, blast / paint / rebush, and refit within a 3 - 4 day timescale - Nothing like a challenge, eh?!

With this in mind, I'm hoping to use a next day collection service if poss - Although will need to see how the work progresses...(I'm using my brother in law's garage, so don't want to leave the car in there immobile on axle stands for weeks on end! :P )

Think I know where that is - I've used the motor factors in that estate before for bits - Good tip. :cheers

This would be ideal, if I had the time - Interested to know the costs for future reference, though?
