Brake discs

Post by vet111s » Tue Jun 07, 2011 1:16 pm

Looking for recommendations for brake discs. Really only for road use and havn't been unhappy with my plain vented discs so far. Would be inclined, to save money, to go with plain again and make sure I've got good pads.
Came across these guys
http://www.redlinecarparts.com/#index.php
They seem to have very reasonably priced (if unheard of) discs if searched under series 1 Elise. Seems to be cheaper to buy discs for s2 than s1.
Recommendations of cheap but reliable discs and sources would be great

Cheers

Ali, wait for confirmation but I think S1 discs are different to S2 ones.

Cheers tut, think you're right. They just seem in general to be cheaper.

S2 discs are now cheeper than S1, due to volume I would guess

S1 is a different stud/bolt pattern to the S2. S1 is 4x95.25 and the S2 is 4x100 EBC discs seem to be very popular and do the job well also Stu160 on here does discs and is well worth a shout.. I had Stu discs on my Bora and my Elise :D

Cheers
Mark :thumbsup
